Reverend Anthony Tyrone Fleming, was called to be the Senior Pastor of Little Shiloh Baptist Church in Emporia Virginia on August 7, 2016. He is a native of Greenville, NC. and was raised in Norfolk, VA. He is the son of the late Trustee Eiful E. and Virgie M. Fleming.

Pastor Fleming is a former Lay Leader, Deacon and Associate Minister of Second Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk, Virginia; where he served faithfully under the leadership of Dr. Geoffrey V. Guns, Sr. Pastor. He is a former member and President of the SCBC Male Chorus, a Vacation Bible School Instructor, a Wednesday night Bible Study instructor and the weekly writer of a Colum for the “Whatz Up” newsletter, entitled: “A Word to my Brothers”. In 2005 he was called and ordained into the Deacon’s Ministry; where he first served as the treasure and in 2008 was elected as the ministry Chairman. During that time, Pastor Fleming initiated several new innovative areas for the ministry: A yearly Widows and Widowers luncheon, an All-Boys Sunday School Class and he also promoted a monthly Deacon Community outreach program. In the summer of 2011 he was selected as the keynote speaker for the National Baptist Deacons Convention of America INC., in Norfolk, Virginia. In the fall of 2012 he accepted his call into the Gospel ministry and was licensed in 2014, and Ordained on August 4, 2015.

In addition to his local ministry work, Reverend Fleming has labored on the foreign mission field as well. He has traveled to Kenya where he has served and led various classes with youth and young adults and instructed sessions with Deacons and Deaconess.

In May of 2016, Pastor Fleming graduated from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University with a Masters of Divinity Degree in Theological Studies. Currently he is a Doctoral Candidate at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. with a focus on Church Leadership.

Reverend Fleming is married to Reverend Brenda L. Fleming, a Property Manager for the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority and through this union they have been blessed with two beautiful daughters: Angelica Breonna, a Quality Control Scientist for PPD in Richmond Va. and Alexandria Lynae, a sophomore Virginia State University, Petersburg, Va.

Previously, Reverend Fleming was employed with BAE Systems in Chesapeake, Virginia for over 26 years as an Engineer Technician. In April of 2015 he was hired as a Logistician for CDI Government Services in Norfolk Va.
